Mission Statement

My goal is to develop the skill of all athletes through a focus on the fundamentals. I will provide a positive working environment to help develop and improve these fundamentals, which includes instilling an overall knowledge of baseball, as well as improving one’s mental and physical approach to the game. I will bring my professional experience and knowledge to aid not only the athletes, but also the parents, coaches, and teams with which I work.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY

  • Baseball is an outstanding game, however, faith, family, and academics always comes first.
  • Stress the importance of good character & sportsmanship in all situations, win or lose.
  • Establish a productive working relationship with all participants.
  • Teach baseball fundamentals in a structured, disciplined, and enjoyable format.
  • Establish clear and precise individual and/or team goals for each participant, allowing for the tracking of progress made throughout the program(s).
  • Instill the philosophy that work ethic and attitude are as important as talent and skill. A “smart” work ethic, combined with a positive attitude, is essential to increase the opportunity for one to achieve their goals.
  • Utilize the best training available, including quality instruction and the most advanced video technologies designed to break down mechanics and identify problem areas, as well as reinforce sound mechanics.
  • Encourage all participants to ask questions, seek improved understanding of baseball principals, and practice all fundamentals learned throughout the program(s). I cannot stress enough the importance of participants to practice ALL of the techniques learned throughout the program(s). One cannot expect improvement by just attending one camp / clinic / seminar and not practicing at home. Committing to unleashing all of one’s potential takes sacrifice, self-discipline, and perseverance as well as many other very important character attributes.
  • What & Why principle: explicitly explain what it is that I am teaching and explicitly explain why I am teaching it this way and the benefit(s) it will produce.

On a mission to learn and improve... TOGETHER
